Bill of No Rights
The Bill of No Rights!
“Moral cowardice that keeps us from speaking our minds is as dangerous to this country as irresponsible talk. The right way is not always the popular and easy way. Standing for right when it is unpopular is a true test of moral character”.
- Margaret Chase Smith…former U.S. Senator, Maine
We couldn’t agree more Margaret, and in that spirit, we at Hailno wish to let all of our readers know that if we have ever insulted or offended any of you because of our insensitivity to you, your religious beliefs, your race, creed, color, national origin, sexual preferences, or any other imagined insult…get over it!
No…that’s not a joke or a misprint, we really do mean it. When all is said and done, this is still the United States of America and Freedom of Speech is a Right guaranteed by the Constitution of this country…unlike the imagined right some of you seem to think you have of never being offended.
If you don’t like what we have to say you can leave, you can flame us or you can turn us off, but you will not silence us. But of course, feel free to respond with your own bigger and better opinion.
We are, at times, offended by the things you say and do, but we will vehemently defend your right say and do those things. The same goes for the symbols you display, the flags you fly and the way you choose to wish others a happy holiday. It’s your business, We won’t try to mind it for you, please extend us the same courtesy.
It sickening to see so many people these days “walking on eggshells” lest they offend some poor whining brat who will then cry about the pain and suffering he’s had to endure because of your “lack of sensitivity” to their religion, race, cause, whatever! Then, to add insult to injury, our so-called political representatives bow down to the tirades of these whining brats…why? because they will go and tell all the other whining brats that they’ve won, and then all the brats will band together and run out and vote to assure that Senator Spineless and Congressman Cowardly remain in power catering to their every whim well into the future. And so the process repeats and the whiners propagate.
The following document is entitled “The Bill of No Rights”. It pretty much sums up our thoughts on the matter. It was originally written by Lewis Napper, a former candidate for the U.S. Senate.
